Could This Brand Solve Our Plus-Size Fashion Gripes?

Here's something to add to our list of plus-size style whines: promising lines that just disappear without warning. Well, at least one much-missed brand is poised for a comeback. WWD reports today that Eloquii, a plus line launched by The Limited back in 2011, is officially back online.
Eloquii targets the underserved segment of 20- to 40-year-old shoppers who wear sizes 14 to 24. And, after clicking through its casual staples and sleek workwear, we think the line will be a hit (again). Jodi Arnold, who served as the the brand's designer the first time around, has returned as its creative director for the relaunch with the help of private investor John Auerbach, a founding member of Gilt.
Arnold says that Eloquii will offer a full, trend-focused collection of dresses, skirts, tops, knits, outerwear, and accessories — all designed in-house and priced from $18 to $198. The brand will operate on a six-month design cycle, with new stock arriving every two weeks, just like the fast-fashion brands plus shoppers are often sized out of. Eloquii's CEO Mariah Chase stated: “We want to be a leader in fashion — period. It just so happens we are making clothes [in] sizes 14 to 24.” Click ahead to see for yourself — and consider one curvy-girl conundrum solved. (WWD)
