The Most Bizarre OPI Muse Has Produced The Prettiest Of Polish Collections

Okay, Mariah was one thing, and Gwen Stefani was a no-brainer. But, when we heard that OPI's most recent partnership was with The Muppets, we were not entirely sure what to expect. Well, that's a lie. We expected primary colors — lots of them. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but as much as we love Gonzo and the gang, they're not exactly top of mind when pondering our next manicure (which, ahem, is often).

Well, lesson learned: You can't judge a nail polish by its felt-and-googly-eyed namesake. The new Muppets Most Wanted by OPI collection contains some of the most fabulous colors we've seen this season — from a beautiful opal to a lovely peach to a rose-gold flecked shade that is perfection. The colors are fresh and different and still superbly wearable for spring.

This, of course, isn't the first time the brand has partnered with the Muppets. Hardcore nail fans will remember the holiday collection of 2011, but those shades — which featured super-glittery blues, greens, and pinks with a few metallics and reds thrown in for good measure — took their inspiration a bit more literally. This range is less obvious which is probably why we like it so much. Surprises, especially of the polish variety, always make us happy.
