Nicholas Hoult Calls Jennifer Lawrence Special — Which, Duh

In case anyone had the slightest bit of doubt as to whether or not Jennifer Lawrence is a unique and beautiful snowflake, or if we've all just fallen victim to an elaborate hoax perpetrated by the celebrity industrial complex, we've got good news. In an interview with V Man, Nicholas Hoult opens up about his super-famous girlfriend and confirms that she is indeed "special."

Thank goodness.

Hoult first met Lawrence on the set of X-Men: First Class, just before she became the biggest movie star on the planet. He has been with her through everything (brief break in 2013 notwithstanding) and admits that sometimes it's hard not to feel like an observer, despite his own flourishing movie career. "It’s like that thing whereby you don’t believe your own hype. Enjoy the good times, but don’t get swept away with it," he says of Lawrence's ability to stay grounded despite her success. "I think that’s something she’s capable of doing, and that’s what makes her special, but yeah, it is very odd, and I am just kind of a bystander in many ways. It is well-deserved for her. I haven’t really seen any change in her."

Hoult and Lawrence will appear onscreen together again in this summer's X-Men: Days of Future Past and, as expected, they simply love working together. "It’s fun because in this business you are away from one another for long periods of time, so when you’re on set together it’s a brilliant thing, because you actually get to spend time together," Hoult said. "Especially with this film, I got to spend time with her. It doesn’t really affect the acting, though." Aw, he's special, too. (The Huffington Post)
