MAC Opens On Powell With Super Sleek New Digs

Union Square has seen a luxe uptick over the past year with high-end offerings from Saint Laurent to Alexander McQueen all nestling in the S.F. shopping turf. As we promised back in October, another shiny-new addition has just swung open its doors — MAC now calls Powell Street home and we couldn’t be more psyched. The 1,340-square-foot space boasts the brand’s Pro line, a lash bar, private makeup room, and more — like the zillions of products you just remembered you really need.

Not that we have any qualms with the beauty destination sharing our shores, but creative director and senior vice president James Gager explained exactly why the locale was chosen. "San Francisco is one of the most vibrant and unique destinations in the country," he told us. Naturally, we took a tour of the new space and have the pretty pics to prove it.
