The great thing about Karl Lagerfeld is you never have to wonder how he feels about things. Take the selfie. Just last week, Lagerfeld made his disdain for self-pics very plain to us, calling them "visual masturbation." Kinda casts our Instagram feeds in a whole new, NSFW light. But, the fashion set loves a good selfie — how else can one self-aggrandize and fake amazing cheekbones all at once? And, since Lagerfeld is nothing if not adept at giving the people what they want, he recently announced that his newest store shall come equipped with — oh, yes — selfie stations.
The Karl Lagerfeld flagship store, which opened last week in London, features fitting rooms with iPads that are "selfie-ready." They also feature a variety of "Karl-inspired photo filters" — a Choupette-inspired white haze, perhaps? A filter that dresses you in watch chains and black biker gloves? The iPads encourage you to "Kapture, Kreate, and Post" your selfies to your social media account. So, expect a whole lot of half-clad people doing duck face coming soon to a feed near you.
