There’s no denying the Girls cast is a multi-talented set of women. Whether producing, writing, acting, or painting, they certainly keep themselves engaged in a flurry of creative endeavors. When T Magazine tipped us off that bohemian, free-spirit-playing Jemima Kirke was headed to S.F. to debut her first solo show, we about lost our minds. Of all places to unveil her oeuvre? Yep, the sultry actress’ masterpieces are headed our way.
According to T, the show, titled “Platforms” is a compilation of female-driven, oil-painted portraits that will debut this Friday, March 21 at Fouladi Projects on Market Street. Much like her enigmatic character on the show, Kirke’s work has an elevated sense of mystique and strong feminine presence. She tells the mag that she's an artist first, actress second, and the poignant selection she's showing really speaks to that. T Magazine has an exclusive look at the pieces that will be seen Friday, so head over and take a looksee. Then, be sure to check out the show in person — it runs March 21 through May 10. (T Magazine)
