To all the men out there who dream of one day wooing the great beauty Rashida Jones, you're going to have to up your vocabulary game. The actress sat down with Askmen recently to discuss her upcoming dance comedy Cuban Fever, in which she plays the object of Nick Frost and Chris O'Dowd's mutual affection. In the film, the fellow Brits use salsa dancing to win over Jones' character, but in real life, she prefers men that are a little more cerebral.
"I was engaged once, and my ex-fiancé, he made me a crossword puzzle from scratch," the actress recalled after she was asked about the most elaborate thing a man has ever done to win her affection. The romantic gesture was made even more so by the crossword's clues, which were comprised of various tidbits pulled from the couple's relationship.
Jones also went on to say that if a man has any hopes of charming her, texting is a big no-no. "It's really nice when somebody calls and leaves a message," she said. "It's the manly thing to do." Jones is currently dating SNL head writer and Weekend Update host Colin Jost, which gives men everywhere a little bit of time to master their crossword-making, phone call-placing skills. Good luck, guys. (Askmen)
