Free People Makes Itself At Home In A Dome (& You Can Rent It!)

With the exception of a few Internet slideshows of "crazy living spaces" (and exactly one Pauly Shore movie), we've never really entertained the thought of residing in anything that looks like an overturned salad bowl. But, as Free People presents its newest editorial, it's this very kind of geodesic dome that's making us rethink our own four-walled apartments. That, and of course the caftan-and-bell-bottom-wearing babe with waist-length hair who's made herself at home in this desert dwelling.
The new catalog has one of Free People's boho leading ladies, model Kelley Ash, playing make believe inside Joshua Tree's raddest, roundest house as she sports the brand's signature fairy-rock-star designs. Of course, this modern living space has all the fixings of what we'd expect an FP abode to hold: wall-mounted antlers, an old typewriter, hanging plants, a tree-stump side table, and printed rugs aplenty. And not, say, piles of manuscripts on Area 51, bricks of dried twig tea, and a doomsday bunker you'd expect from other domers.
Thankfully, in case you're hoping to experience this same dome-away-from-home experience for yourself, this one's actually up for rent — fringe and kimono-sleeves not included, of course.
