Hair That’s Textured And Touchable? Right Here, Folks

At the moment, my life feels like a quest to prevent my 'do (a dyed-blonde, jaw-length bob) from looking like a news anchor's hair. Nothing against women in that profession — it's just that if I don't get a certain degree of texture happening, my hair can venture into helmet hair territory like that. The problem with texture? My locks are already dried out from the color, and most texturizing sprays give my hair an appearance that wavers between straw-like and straight-up sandpaper. (I know, it's really hard being me.)
However, those days might be over, thanks to Moroccanoil's new Molding Cream. There are some hair products that I use and love, but no one seems to ever notice the difference. This is definitely not one of them; since incorporating it into my routine, I've never gotten so many compliments.

The emollient cream is made with the brand's signature argan oil blend, a magic ingredient that makes hair so soft and touchable, it might as well have been handcrafted by an angel. The cream itself is extremely lightweight and almost fluffy (my first thought was that it looks like marshmallow fluff, but also I was pretty hungry at that moment).
The cream melts into hair and dries to a natural, matte finish, creating the kind of ultra-soft, piece-y texture I've dreamed of. It's really hydrating, which explains the softness, and contains olive oil in addition to argan — delivering much-needed nourishment and conditioning. As a result, the subtle waves and cowlicks in my hair are more defined, and the product's medium-strength hold means that I can tousle it and it'll stay put.
This is actually a great product for longer hair, too. You can distribute it throughout to get a tousled look, or you can apply it just to the ends for a messier, more dimensional feel. For short-haired girls, it's pretty much an apply-and-go situation: Just apply it to your damp or dry hair, work it into the shape you want, and then go enjoy a good hair day. In conclusion, I'm not sure how I got by without it.
Moroccanoil Molding Cream, $28, available at Moroccanoil.
