Let's just get this out there: Shailene Woodley really doesn't care what you think about her hippie-chic ways. "I’m done living for other people," InStyle's June cover girl tells the magazine. "I’m done being a people pleaser. I’m done thinking about what people think about me."
For the record, the Fault In Our Stars actress was nothing but a good sport when being teased by David Letterman about her habit of eating clay last week. In the past, however, Woodley says she struggled with self-esteem issues.
"I realize I was good at being outwardly positive because that’s how I am by nature,” she says, gracing the cover in a vibrant flower gown from Dolce & Gabbana. “But, internally? I was so mean to myself. Realizing I need to make a shift was a big moment for me. F–k you, insecurity. F–k you, lack of confidence!”
She's currently riding a high, part of which she credits to a healthy lifestyle and a sleeker frame. “I’m in a place where I feel healthier than I’ve ever been, and my body is exactly where it wants to be,” the 22-year-old says. “I feel like I’m a woman. My boobs shrank. No one tells you that when you lose weight. No bra, no problem.”
Hey, it's all part of the lifestyle. You do you, girl. (InStyle)
