According to Nyong'o, it was one of her first real encounters with the invasive shutterbugs, and she handled it in stride.

Nyong'o is in Hawaii to attend the Maui Film Festival, where she'll be receiving an award for her work in 12 Years a Slave. It's been a whirlwind year for the ingenue, and it's about to get even wilder, as she begins shooting Star Wars: Episode 7 this summer.
