Anna Paquin Celebrates Her Bisexuality With Help From Twitter

Anna Paquin raised her p-flag over the weekend in honor of Pride Month. The True Blood actress celebrated her bisexuality and continued her advocacy for equal rights.
She tweeted: "Proud to be a happily married bisexual mother. Marriage is about love not gender." Back in 2010, before she married True Blood costar Stephen Moyer, Paquin came out as bisexual. "I’m someone who believes being bisexual is actually a thing," she told Zooey Magazine in 2012.

Today, the "B" in LGBTQ is still wrapped in mystery. But, it is not, as Sex and the City put it in 2000, a "layover to Gay Town." Paquin has been
one of the few celebrities to be so vocal about something so private. While Jessie J dismissed her bisexuality as just a phase, Paquin, in the same Zooey interview, argued that it's not made up or, as she put it, "a lack of decision."

Her tweet is a small contribution, sure, but her platform is loud enough to encourage an open dialogue on the topic. And, it definitely helps to make this year's Pride Month that much more awesome. (Daily Mail)
