Though science has yet to prove our editor-conceived theory to be true, chances are, if you're a celebrity with tattoos, there's a high probability that an anchor is inked somewhere on your body. It's even more likely to be etched on your arm, specifically, your wrist. (Full disclosure: I happen to also have an anchor tattooed on my right wrist. I don't know why, since I am no celebrity, but, oh well.)
Anyway, the anchor, a universal symbol of stability, comes in all sizes, colors, and variations. It can be light and delicate or bold and thickly outlined — similar to old school anchors pioneered by Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins, the famed tattoo artist who died 41-years ago today, and mentored Ed Hardy.
So, without further ado, may we present the best of the best of Hollywood's favorite tattoo. Anchors away, ladies.
