Nicole Richie Had Blue Hair For A Day This Weekend

Nicole Richie's lilac hair became iconic the minute she revealed it on Instagram a few months ago. Rarely has such an unnatural color looked so natural on someone. Both flattering and edgy, her purple hair inspired all of us to be just a bit more daring with our own manes. But, in the midst of the purple-hair craze she helped to initiate, Richie stepped out this weekend with sky-blue locks. No announcement, no carefully posed Instagram debut — just a pastel-blue top knot casually shimmering in the sun.

Interestingly enough, though, her blue 'do disappeared as quickly as it appeared. It seems she went with the new shade for a cool 24 hours, returning to her signature hue the very next day. We were really hoping for the chance to make a declaration about blue being the hair color of the summer (since Richie has proven herself an excellent trend forecaster), but now we're not sure. Kylie Jenner's teal hair disappeared this weekend, too. Did we miss the memo? Where has all the blue hair gone?
