Amy Adams Just Did The Classiest Thing

After hearing about some seriously unsavory celebrity behavior, it's refreshing to get news about a star doing some actual good. So, take a bow, Amy Adams.
The Oscar-nominated actress was boarding a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles on Friday when she noticed a serviceman among the passengers.
"When we were waiting to board, I saw her glance the soldier's way and then she said something to the person she was traveling with," fellow passenger Jemele Hill later relayed to Today.com. "Once we boarded, I saw she was in first class. I was upgraded to first class and she was a couple rows behind me. I think she must have said something to the flight attendant, because before we took off she had vacated her seat and the flight attendant brought the soldier to her seat."

A flight attendant later confirmed to Hill that Adams had swapped seats with the soldier. He took her first-class spot, while she headed back to coach, where she posed for a selfie with her new seatmate, Ernest Owens.
In an interview with Inside Edition, Owens revealed that the American Hustle star said "it's something she always wanted to do and she just decided to put her money where her mouth is."
Adams has personal ties with the military: Her father was a serviceman during her youth, and her family moved from base to base. When asked by Inside Edition about her class act, she said, "I didn't do it for attention for myself. I did it for attention for the troops."
Perhaps this is one of those times we should be following a celebrity's example? (Today)
