There are certain perks to being one of the set decorators for Sex and the City. Like, oh, getting to keep a bunch of the pieces once Carrie and Co. are done using them. One such lucky decorator, Ondine Karady, did what any sane person would do and used the leftovers to recreate Carrie Bradshaw's apartment — in her own Brooklyn space.
To pull this off, Karady coupled the SATC leftovers with her own vintage and thrift-store finds. Et voilà! Her one-bedroom apartment became a charming, eclectic abode that would make any Bradshaw fan proud. Yep — a desk from Mr. Big's apartment, drapes from Carrie's editor's place, and a painting from Charlotte's chic domicile are all there.
While it isn't an actual replica, Carrie's influence is clear. After all, she'd certainly apply the same mentality to her interiors that she does to her wardrobe, right? Which means: color, whimsy, and a healthy dose of gumption. Consider us inspired! (Harper's Bazaar)
