It's tough to be a man approaching middle age in Hollywood. Where they once starred as ripped superheros and hard-to-catch love interests, they're now asked to play dads — donning shades of khaki while making the best of button-downs and thin-framed glasses. So it goes for Ryan Reynolds who was spotted doing his best Walter White yesterday while filming Woman in Gold.
Or, maybe he's researching the real-life part of fatherhood in an inverse attempt at Method acting. His wife, Blake Lively, hints at the role in the August issue of Vogue. “He’s going to be a great father and leader and patriarch," she said. "He’s so meant to be all of those things."
Sure — as long as none of those things involves dadcore, we can get behind that. Because as Buzzfeed points out, it's disturbing and kind of hot — a simultaneous turn-on and turn-off — and that's just confusing. (Buzzfeed)
