Rachel McAdams’ Dress Looks Different At Every Angle

Rachel McAdams never really struck us as the kind of actress who took red carpet dressing too seriously. She's dared to try several difficult — and even, at the time, questionable — trends, and is known for throwing curveballs as far as her beauty look goes, too. For her next trick, McAdams tried wearing more than one dress at a time.

At Cinema Society's A Most Wanted Man premiere last night, McAdams' Zuhair Murad frock left us slightly confused. Intrigued, we clicked on every image we could find — none looking like the same outfit as another.

The colorways resembled waves on a heat map: deep reds on one side all the way to peacock blues on the other. When Rachel posed to the right, the silhouette appeared body-con, yet a swish to the left revealed a full, flared fit. Every adjustment in between was some variation of the slim/wide, hot/cool, strapped/strapless design. It's a head-scratcher, but on someone with as much sartorial fearlessness as McAdams it works.
