We wonder what the folks at Saint Cecilia's thought about the new Alexander Wang fall campaign images. Shot on location at the Greenpoint church, the pics follow the same path as Wang's provocative spring ads. This time, though, the campaign is all models, bunk beds, and upskirt shots.
Spring's photos suggested high-school bathrooms and class-cutters who have been listening to too much Miley. This time around, Wang revisits these themes of youth, rebellion, and sex — albeit now with sweaters, jackets, and those infamous mule boots that we saw on the runway in February.
Lest we forget, upskirt shots for the sake of fashion are quite different from those created by your average peeping Tom. Steven Klein's photos for Wang seem to be inspired by another famous (and voyeuristic) shutterbug, Helmut Newton. Which is exactly the kind of high-fashion history we may have to explain to the Reverends of St. Cecilia's — should they ever ask. Click on to see all the shots.
