Sorry, Kristen Stewart & Nicholas Hoult Are Probably Not A Thing

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have been broken up for a while now. Nicholas Hoult recently ended his relationship with Jennifer Lawrence. That means Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult are both single. They are also in Japan shooting a movie together and were spotted getting sushi after work. By the transitive property of hot celebrities, this means that Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart are most definitely doing other things together, too. Sexy-time things. It's been a while since we took geometry, but we're pretty sure that's how the transitive property works. You go to dinner with your also-single coworker and, boom, you're in a romantic tryst. Math is awesome.

Before we let our imaginations run wild with potential portmanteaus for the new couple (N. Stew! Kroult! Nichsten!), we have to face the fact that these two are most likely not dating. What we're probably witnessing here is just two friends and coworkers getting dinner together. Let's examine the situation a little more closely.
After Stewart's high-profile break-up, she hasn't seemed eager to enter another serious relationship. Hoult just ended an on-again, off-again relationship that put him constantly in the spotlight. On top of that, Kristen and Nicholas had to have a press conference about their feelings for one another.

"I can't stand him," Stewart said when asked how she felt about Hoult. He then made the face pictured above. The two were being questioned ahead of production on their new film Equals. That's why they're in Tokyo together, BTW. Since the sci-fi flick takes place in a world without human emotions, though, feelings were pretty much the only thing the press wanted to discuss.
"It's always a weird position to be put in any film where the director chooses two people and is saying 'Hey, potentially in this world I'm creating you two could fall in love,'" Hoult said. "Sometimes [it] feels forced and tricky and awkward, but...Kristen is a great actress and that just makes it very relaxed and my job very easy."
Let's not confuse two people pretending to be in love for a movie with them actually being in love. Not only is that giving Kristen Stewart way too much credit as an actress (sorry, but it had to be said), but we're still hoping that Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence will rekindle their love. What can we say? We ship Beast and Mystique — hard. (ONTD!)
