Taylor Swift’s Latest Doing Will Make A Swiftie Out Of You

The easiest thing we, as humans, can do is poke fun. And, negativity is contagious — once one mean commenter starts up, a crowd is quick to follow. On the flip-side, appreciating something (and not for irony's sake) is the hardest.
Taylor Swift has become a fixture of the sarcastic media. It's easy to riff on her impossibly buttoned-up post-gym looks and perfect group of famous friends. And, sure, the needlepoints and random Wall Street Journal op-eds are simply fuel for her haters, but it's not warranted. It's time to trade the eye-rolls for applause and start genuinely appreciating Swift, for she actually seems delightful.

Case-in-point: Taylor Swift's recent visit to the Boston Children’s Hospital to visit Jordan Nickerson, a seven-year-old battling leukemia. The pop star surprised Jordan, and offered to play him a song. He asked her to sing her favorite, and the two proceeded to launch into a rousing rendition of the 2013 hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" off Red.
This isn't the first time Swift's gone above and beyond for her fans. After reading through some fan mail and coming across an invite, Swift surprised a long-time Swiftie by attending her bridal shower. It was all caught on tape, of course. But, PR stunts aside, it still happened — just like her unsolicited (but completely endearing) love advice to a fan on Instagram. Haters to the left, please. (Gawker)
