J.K. Rowling just can't quit Harry Potter. Even when she's, well, not actually writing about Harry Potter.
This time the beloved author has written a short story for Pottermore.com about a different Hogwarts alum: half-blood Singing Sorceress Celestina Warbeck. Rowling describes the witchy warbler as one of her favorite "off-stage" characters from the world of Harry Potter.
Warbeck first appeared in the Daily Prophet series Rowling wrote for her Bloomsbury fan club, but now she's getting her first official solo outing. If there were ever any doubt that the scribe had a passion for celebrity and pop culture, this should nip it in the bud.

"Frequently appearing with a chorus of backing banshees, Celestina's concerts are justly famous," Rowling writes of the Shirley Bassey-inspired character. "Three devoted fans were involved in a nasty three-broom pile-up over Liverpool while trying to reach the last night of her ‘Flighty Aphrodite’ tour, and her tickets often appear on the black market at vastly inflated prices (one reason why Molly Weasley has never yet seen her favorite singer live)."
If you want to see her live, just head over to Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando, where Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees perform hits like "You Stole My Cauldron But You Can't Have My Heart" (below).
The new story is really just a charmingly written bio, but far be it from us to look a gift horse in the mouth. Fingers crossed for more Harry Potter spinoffs to come.
