Boy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus sure does have this whole award-show thing down pat.
The walking, talking national treasure first took the stage at Monday night's Emmy Awards as a presenter. She was joined by Bryan Cranston, who if you'll recall, had a make-believe fling with the actress when he played sleazy dentist Tim Whatley on Seinfeld.
Dreyfus was quick to point out that Cranston only "looked" like the actor who played Whatley. Though it was a clever little bit, it robbed us of the onscreen Seinfeld reunion we were all hoping for.
Or, so we thought.
Soon after, Dreyfus won the Emmy for Outstanding Actress in Comedy for her role in Veep (because of course she did). But, before she could make it to the stage, Cranston leapt up from his seat and planted an 11-second smooch on his former fake flame.

When Dreyfus finally reached the stage — in the most perfect bit of comedic timing we ever did see — she said: "Um, yeah...he was on Seinfeld."
And, just like that, the 66th Emmy Awards will forever be known as the one where Elaine Benes and Tim Whatley made out.
Now quick, someone get these two a TV show together.
