It was a match made in Disney heaven. Sarah Hyland and Matt Prokop met while auditioning for High School Musical 3: Senior Year. They were supposed to be our Zac and Vanessa 2.0 (miss you, Zanessa). The couple even costarred in the cutesy Disney Channel Original Movie Geek Charming in 2011. They lived together and were parents to a Maltipoo named Barkley Bixby.
In happier times, Hyland told us about deciding to move in with her boyfriend at 19. "I grew up in a 300-square-foot apartment with a tub in the kitchen in New York City. I don’t 'know' personal space. That’s why, I think at least, it’s easy for me to live with a guy...I honestly like living with guys better than girls. Girls are all over the place, and I don’t like that. It’s too much for me."

She also offered relationship advice that seemed to come from someone much older. "Don't sacrifice who you are for somebody else. Relationships are about compromise, but you should never compromise yourself for someone else."
Hyland and Prokop were together for five years, which is probably the equivalent of 15 years in Disney Time. Despite their relationship's epic status, a source insists the split was amicable. “Sarah's doing fine. It didn't work out," a source tells Us. "She's young. They decided they would be better off as friends."
We actually wondered about their relationship when Hyland showed up to the Emmys last night sans Prokop, who usually accompanies her to award shows. Oh well; there goes the most Disney-centric New York Times wedding announcement in history. (Us Weekly)
