Gap’s New T-Shirts Are Anything But Ordinary

You pop into Gap and know what you’re getting — tried-and-true staples you’ll wear to death all season long. What you don’t expect is a stack of eclectic pieces piled up next to your trusty grey crewnecks. Well, art magazine Visionaire changed that assumption last year, collaborating with the all-American brand on a line of eye-catching tees.
Now in its third installment, the limited-edition “The Gold Collection” features foil stamping and ink printing with artwork from past issues of the mag. Artists featured include Vik Muniz, Peter Saville, Fifty Shades Of Grey film director Sam Taylor-Johnson, and more. And, a special iteration was designed by conceptual artist John Baldessari, a contributor in the upcoming Visionaire 64 Art issue. The line will be available September 4 in select Gap flagship stores, Opening Ceremony, and Colette in Paris. But, just 500 of each design were produced, so you’re going to have to move fast come next week. Catch a glimpse of the 15 styles up for grabs ahead.
