Adam Brody Knows His Claims To Fame (Cough, The O.C. & Leighton)

Adam Brody is in a new Amazon pilot called The Cosmopolitans. He plays Jimmy, an expatriate living in Paris, flitting from one party to the next and looking blasé at bistros. L'ennui, c'est chic.

The pilot was written, directed, and produced by Whit Stillman, an auteur beloved for indie films like The Last Days of Disco and Damsels in Distress. It premiered yesterday on Amazon, and Brody did a Reddit AMA to celebrate its debut.

While he was ostensibly allowing the good people of Reddit to ask him anything for the express purpose of promoting The Cosmopolitans, Brody was instead besieged with questions about what's really important. That's right, it was a regular O.C. and Leighton Meester-fest, with a dash of Gilmore Girls, plus a smattering of confused interlocutors who thought they were talking to actor Adrien Brody.

— He's in "constant psychic communication" with everyone from The O.C., plus "Ben and I also get lunch in this dimension sometimes."

— There's no malice between him and Chris Pratt, who supposedly said the original gang on the show was over it when he joined the final season. "I love Chris, and he loves me, so shut up!"

— He's not sure what "that mofo" Captain Oats is up to now.

— This is how he and wife Leighton Meester divide up the chores: "I do some stuff, but she definitely does the heavy lifting (figuratively). Literally, I do the heavy lifting."
