UPDATE: Aaand, it's live! Launching today, the Studio collection boasts a strong showing of fashion-girl staples like furry jackets, satin shorts, and asymmetric dresses.
H&M was already leading the fast-fashion pack with major fall plans in the works. But, now that they've turned around and surprised us with H&M Studio, suddenly even our walk-in closets are looking a little too tiny.
The Studio collection is the brand's seasonal line; it's presented biannually at Paris Fashion Week and released to the masses a couple of months later. And, you can shop it straight off the runway without breaking the bank — because H&M. The lookbook boasts all the cozy knits and dark hues you want out of a cold-weather wardrobe, while still retaining a little echo of summer. Dark, floral maxi-dresses, gauzy silks, and bra tops are among the items we're gearing up to get, stat. Menswear- and sportswear-inspired pieces round out the collection: boxy, oversized windbreakers; leathery lounge pants; super-chunky sweaters (and turtlenecks!); and athletic pullovers. Is this possibly a nod to what we can expect from the Alexander Wang collaboration? Only time will tell.
Before we get too speculative, check out the full H&M Studio fall collection ahead; it's dropping in select stores and online September 4. We don't know about you, but we're pretty excited for the second coming of the turtleneck.
