Opening Ceremony’s Wearable Tech Collab Is Pretty…But What Does It Do?

Back in January, we broke the news of Opening Ceremony's newest partnership with Intel. But, at that time, we had very little actual intel on what this new collaboration would look like. Well, that changed today. The duo just released a first glimpse.
The bracelet-like gadget, entitled MICA or "My Intelligent Communication Accessory," features two styles. The first is black snakeskin with pearls and lapis stones from China, and the other iteration highlights white snakeskin with tiger's eye from South Africa. What will these devices actually do? Well, that's still a mystery. But, it reportedly won't need to be connected to a phone. We'll know more once the bracelets actually hit the market come holiday, exclusively at Barneys New York and Opening Ceremony. For now, take a look at the campaign images ahead, featuring models Kirsten Owen and Ajak Deng, and get a closer glimpse of this exciting new collaboration for yourself. (WWD)
