George Clooney Loves His Fiancée & Here’s The Video To Prove It

Did we need video evidence that George Clooney does, in fact, love the woman who'll finally make an honest man out of him? Isn't that's what the ring is for? Either way, we can't help but pay attention any time the notoriously private actor shows a side of himself we rarely get to see.
Clooney was in Tuscany, Italy, on Sunday to accept the Andrea Bocelli Humanitarian Award at the Celebrity Fight Night gala. During his acceptance speech, the 53-year-old actor delighted those in attendance, when he not only declared his love for his future wife, lawyer Amal Alamuddin, but also divulged intimate details of their upcoming nuptials.

"I've met my bride-to-be in Italy, and I will be married in Italy, soon, in a couple of weeks…in Venice of all places," Clooney said. The location might surprise observers who expected Clooney to tie the knot at his ultra-luxe pad in Italy's secluded Lake Como.
As if the sudden announcement didn't send enough of a reverberation through the audience, like a true showman, Clooney waited until the conclusion of his speech to send everyone — one excited guest in particular — into cardiac arrest.
"In closing I would just like to say to my bride-to-be, Amal, that I love you very much. And I can't wait to be your husband."
That guttural "Oh my god!" you hear at the 0:42 mark is likely the same way this writer's mother would react if her son were to ever find his one true love.
Unfortunately for now, George and Amal will simply have to do. Sorry, Mom.
