25+ Topshop Pieces That Look More High-Fashion Than High Street

With H&M, J.Crew, and other fast-fashion brands showing alongside designer lines during Fashion Week, it can feel counterintuitive to hold such different standards up to the same light. After all, the Topshops of the world operate with very different schedules, budgets, and motivations than, say, the Togas of the world. However, with the growing base of shoppers who have similar style sensibilities as Anna Dello Russo — but who aren’t working with similar funds — fast fashion is starting to focus as much on aesthetic innovation as the bonafide designers are. And, it's a wonderful thing.
Topshop has been leading the charge here, and its Topshop Unique spring '15 show was a must-catch in London this week. Everything about it was as big a production as any designer's show — from models to ensembles to the story told. The only difference? Even though Topshop Unique is a step up in price from the brand's main line, being able to afford it isn't entirely out of the question.
From statement coats featuring big-ass blossoms to shoes that are walkable and compliment-magnets, this spring collection marries sporty and sweet in a way that actually feels fresh. And, just for you, we peeked backstage to find the items that only look like a million bucks.
