UPDATE: Bill and Hillary Clinton have issued an official statement about the birth of their first grandchild.
"We are blessed, grateful, and so happy to be the grandparents of a beautiful girl, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, born on Friday evening, September 26, 2014.
"We are thrilled to be with our daughter and her husband as they welcome their daughter into the world.
"Chelsea is well and glowing. Marc is bursting with pride. Charlotte's life is off to a good start." Aww.
Today, Hillary Clinton has a new title. No, not presidential candidate. Grandmother. Chelsea Clinton, 34, and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, announced the birth of their daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, via Twitter early in the morning of September 27. It's the first baby for the couple, who were married in 2010.
Bill and Hillary Clinton quickly retweeted, to share their excitement.
While Clinton supporters have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Chelsea's first child, they are looking forward to another big announcement from the Clinton clan: Hillary's official decision to run for president in 2016.

Bill has long said that his wife was more interested in grandchildren than the presidency.
“I would like to have a happy wife, and she won’t be unless she’s a grandmother. It’s something she wants more than she wanted to be president,” Bill said during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in 2011.
Now, that Chelsea has shared her big news, hopefully it will give Hillary the chance to share hers. (USA Today )
