6 Music Biopic Castings Even Crazier Than Leo Playing André 3000

A popular Disney movie once taught us about the concept of the "circle of life." You may remember that it moves us all, but in Hollywood, the circle moves people around a little differently. When one notable person portrays another in a biopic, a important question then begs itself. Who would play the portrayer in a biopic about him or her?

To get specific, André 3000 is playing Jimi Hendrix in a biopic called Jimi: All By My Side. Now, for many interviewers, the stock question is: Who would André 3000 choose to play him in a biopic about his life?

The musician decided to get playful with his answer, though. According to Rolling Stone, André 3000 would be on board a biopic about Outkast, but it wouldn't be your usual movie à clef.

"instead of really serious, make it a full comedy — like Kevin Hart would play Big Boi," he said. As to which actor should play him, "We should cast somebody stupid — like Leonardo [DiCaprio]."

You know what? This actually sounds like an awesome idea. For too long, biopics have been staid, trumped-up affairs in which the actors chosen to portray the subjects had to have at least a hint of a similar look. We like the out-of-the-box direction that André 3000 is taking biopic casting.
