Guys, it's really happening. In a matter of days, we must all join forces in the official search for the world's new most eligible bachelor. That's because the old one, Mr. George Clooney, will officially be tying the knot in Venice this weekend.

Clooney is set to wed London-based lawyer Amal Alamuddin, in what may have surpassed the Kimye nuptials as the most anticipated celebrity wedding in recent memory. And, with that, the 24-hour celebrity gossip cycle has officially gone into overdrive. Here are the facts, rumors, and speculation surrounding the biggest wedding of the year.

Speculation: Will Brangelina attend? Clooney's most famous besties have yet to be spotted in Venice, and the actor was absent from their recent nuptials as well. Our guess is the RSVP was in the mail weeks ago.

Rumor: Venice is being shut down. Well, not exactly. But, with looming fears of crowd control issues, city officials have closed down a number of canals around the Renaissance-era Cavalli Palace, where the civil ceremony is expected to be held. (The Huffington Post UK)

Fact: The wedding will be star-studded. As one of the most beloved men in the biz, Clooney has a lot of famous friends.
