If you thought John Cusack carrying a boombox blasting "In Your Eyes" was sexy, you should see him take Hollywood to task for its treatment of aging actresses.
The actor's latest movie is Map to the Stars, the David Cronenberg-directed film that highlights the absurdity and hyper-vanity of Hollywood. Julianne Moore plays a neurotic actress past her prime, and one scene jokes about a 26-year-old starlet already being menopausal by Hollywood standards.
Though the 48-year-old actor acknowledges that he's "got another 15, 20 years before they say I’m old," he's quick to lash out at the film business for its double-standard towards women.

"For women it’s brutal," he told the Guardian. "Bruce’s [screenwriter Bruce Wagner] thing about if you’re 26, you’re menopausal? It’s only absurd because it’s a little bit further than the truth." You tell 'em, John.
“I have actress friends who are being put out to pasture at 29," he added. "They just want to open up another can of hot 22. It’s becoming almost like kiddie porn. It’s fucking weird.”
Screenwriter Wagner, meanwhile, says he's heard ever single line of the script uttered by someone in Hollywood before. Cusack added, “You can’t make it up...It’s a whorehouse and people go mad.”
No kidding. Hopefully this means Cusack will be working to bring in some more mature ladies in his upcoming films. We hear that Julianne Moore's pretty good... (Guardian )
