Why Did Kaley Cuoco Have To Go & Wear A Native American Costume?

We totally get it. It's hard to bust someone's chops when they're doing something in the name of charity. Especially when that someone is Kaley Cuoco, who we all love because she's cute and funny and has great hair , etc., etc., etc. But, hey, somebody has to say something about the outfit she wore yesterday.
Here's the set-up: The Big Bang Theory star was one of the celebrity participants in yesterday's Charity Pro-Am horse-riding tournament for the Longines Los Angeles Masters. Basically, this involves celebrity riders competing alongside pros while in costume, with the winner raising money for charity. The costume is a big part of the competition — here's winner Hannah "Daughter of Tom" Selleck and her partner dressed as Poison Ivy and Batman.

And, here is Cuoco's costume...

Yep, full-on Pocahontas. The actress donned a long dark wig and a fringed and feathered Native American-inspired costume to play the "Indian" opposite her pro partner's cowboy. Like we really need to open up that culturally sensitive bag of worms at a charity event.
How many times do people have to rail against Pharrell or Khloe Kardashian for wearing headdresses before it starts to sink in that cultural appropriation is completely unacceptable? You don't want to go there, even if Johnny Depp and a million other Westerns make you think otherwise.
Okay, okay, lecture over, Kaley. It is cool that you named your horse Thor, however. Next time, maybe take your inspiration there and dress up as the Thunder God?
