We often talk about the everyday, throw-on-and-go dress — a single wardrobe piece so good on its own, it doesn't even require you to wear anything else. And, the 40 looks ahead exemplify this very dress.
In our fantasies, we imagine we'd give work presentations in Armani's pocketed numbers, which are made for avoiding awkward hand gestures. We'd grocery shop in Proenza Schouler, treating every aisle as a reason to let our fringe swish. And, we'd dig into a feast wearing Stella McCartney because, well, wildly mixed prints secretly hide splashes of sauce. As for Delpozo — that, you can bury us in.
Of course, in reality, these dresses are simply the ones that stood out to us the most during Fashion Month. They're the ones we couldn't take our eyes off of as soon as they appeared on the runway. And — wishful thinking — they're the ones we wish we could "throw on and go," no matter where we're going. After all, these beauties are really too special to wear while watching Netflix.
From New York all the way to Paris, take a daydream through the prettiest dresses from Fashion Month, ahead.
