You've still got some beef with Halloween costumes. As someone who ranks a garment's versatility as important as its quality and design, it pains you to buy anything that you can only wear one day out of the year (Catwoman jumpsuit, we're looking at you). For those reasons, you'd rather go as something lame than spend a chunk of cash on a pre-packaged polyester get-up that only looks presentable under black lights.
But, those aren't your only two options.
You know that this season's trends bring big-time cinematic vibes, whether via Old Hollywood glamour (slit skirts, car coats, and all that faux fur) or nostalgic moments from our formative years (combat boots, army jackets, and '80s-style frocks). But, what does that mean for Halloween? Well, it means you either already own most of the elements to create one of these clever costumes, or you now have a really good excuse to pick up a little something extra for your fall wardrobe. Wear it on Halloween, and again and again until the spring!
