Each of the 30 baseball teams in the MLB plays 162 games per season. That's a lot of matchups. And, it's the very reason some say the sport doesn't get exciting until the actual World Series playoffs. That's also the reason why you don't often see celebrities in the stands until October each year.
Regardless of how you feel about the baseball season, we can all agree that right now is an exciting time for the sport itself. And, as this writer mourns the final hours of the Boston Red Sox as the reigning 2013 World Series champs, she also welcomes the title's successor.
