Thanks to the athleisure trend that currently has a hold on runways and retailers alike, it's no longer taboo to wear sweatpants out and about. (For proof, look no further than J.Crew, which is currently peddling the loungewear silhouette in pinstriped wool).

Rihanna's no stranger to rocking gym-going gear on the street, but her latest look involving sweats, a slouchy T-shirt, and Nike sneakers manages to be fancy enough for a night out at Nobu (which is how Rih spent her evening) and comfy enough for hours of Netflix (how we spend many of ours).

These may look a whole lot like the elastic-ankle sweats you wear to bed, and they probably feel like them, too. But, the sophisticated design details and all-black colorway — a major upgrade from heather gray — really make a difference. Point being: This look's a great idea even if you don't have plans to dine at an exclusive West Hollywood sushi joint tonight.
