Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin continue to prove the naysayers wrong. The conscious uncoupling pioneers once again showed a unified front at the star-studded amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Paltrow was on hand to host the event, which raised a truckload of money for AIDS research while honoring designer Tom Ford. The night was full of surprises, none more noteworthy then when Paltrow took the stage to introduce an unexpected musical guest.
"This brilliant singer-songwriter has sold 8 million records and has won every award imaginable," Paltrow gushed. "Including father of the year, which he has won consecutively since 2004!" That's when Martin and Coldplay bandmate Jonny Buckland took the stage.

Though we weren't there (our invite got lost in the mail, obv) we imagine a collective "awww!" rung out from the crowd.
Later in the evening, Sharon Stone took the stage and spoke for all of Hollywood— a place pretty battle-tested when it comes to ugly divorces — when she turned to Gwyneth and said, "We thank you for your inner and outer beauty, which you've demonstrated by the fact of how you get along with your ex-husband."
The moral of the story? The next time you're asked to introduce your world famous rock star ex at a celeb-filled gala, you do it.
