Jordana Brewster is gearing up for the release of the seventh installment of the Fast & The Furious franchise. Yet, while this isn't her first rodeo (race?), the upcoming release of Furious 7 feels decidedly different.
One of the running themes of the franchise has been the notion of family, both onscreen and off. And, almost a year ago, the Fast team lost a member of their own family when actor Paul Walker was killed in a car crash.
"It's the most difficult, intense thing I've ever been through," Brewster said in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan. "Just yesterday, I had a moment where I thought, Oh my God, I'm never going to feel the way I felt when I hugged him. We shared so many years of friendship, and he embraced life so much. The thing about Paul is he said hello to everybody. He didn't see people as different."

Brewster also admitted that watching Walker in the soon-to-be-released trailer was "bittersweet."
"I think the beautiful thing is that they get to see Paul again…and in a way celebrate him," Brewster said about fans eager to to get a first look at the film. "I've heard he's really really good in it, so I look forward to seeing him too. Obviously it will be bittersweet, but I think it's a way for fans to revisit him."
Walker died weeks before shooting on the seventh film wrapped, which left producers in a difficult position. His brother Cody was eventually tapped to fill Paul's shoes.
