Amanda Bynes Under Conservatorship Until 2015

After a series of strange tweets on Friday and a missed court appearance, Amanda Bynes is back under her mother's care — by court order — until 2015. Oh, honey.

Bynes has had a tumultuous couple of months, starting with a DUI arrest in Los Angeles on September 29 after months of seemingly being on a healthier track. Landing in NYC in early October, the Hairspray star was the talk of the city thanks to her seriously strange behavior — which disturbingly included (later deleted) tweets accusing her dad of sexual abuse. Then,
Bynes was hospitalized again in Los Angeles on October 10.

On Thursday she was released, after a hearing in Los Angeles determined she was stable enough to no longer be kept on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
On Friday, the actress was spotted on the Sunset Strip and posted a series of tweets explaining she wanted out of her parents' conservatorship and again accused her father of assaulting her (and announced that Zac Efron is not ugly). Bynes stated her intention to go to court with her lawyer and fight the conservatorship. However, Amanda did not make it to court and her lawyer proceeded without her.
Unsurprisingly, after a 30-minute meeting in chambers, the judge ruled that the actress's mother would remain her conservator through 2015, Radar Online reports.
This story is ridiculously sad. No mention has been made of further psychiatric care for the troubled star, but we sincerely hope that the actress gets whatever help she needs and that we don't have to write another story like this. (Radar Online )
