Someone has finally found the connection between two popular pastimes: tourism and voyeurism. Brandon LaGanke and John Carlucci, the masterminds behind filmmaking coalition Ghost + Cow, have created the first pornographic video filmed entirely on drones. A far cry from past drone-related nudity, Drone Boning makes light of the Big Brother aspects of drone culture with its staged-and-surveyed sex scenes — everywhere from the mountains to the beach. On one hand, it's all very pretty. On the other, the video can feel more like an ambient screensaver than anything to meant to facilitate self-love.
In a conversation with Motherboard, LaGanke explains that he and Carlucci "wanted to explore the whole idea of drone privacy and strikes — this idea of 'make porn, not war.'" At the heart of it, “the plan was to take beautiful landscapes and just put people fucking in them.”

LaGanke and Carlucci certainly accomplished this mission in Drone Boning. And, as picturesque and tongue-and-cheek as the video is, it still serves as a reminder of what drones are capable of capturing, especially given their widespread presence and acceptance as part of popular culture these days.
