If Anne Hathaway is trying to convince the world that she's just like the rest of us, she's off to a pretty good start. The Oscar-winning actress stopped by The Graham Norton Show last week to promote her new movie, the mind-bending sci-fi saga, Interstellar.
Joining Hathaway on Norton's couch was her co-star in the film, Matthew McConaughey. (Fun fact: Lena Dunham was sitting just out of frame.) When asked what it was about McConaughey that made her want to work with him, Hathaway did her best to sound like one of the girls. Her answer in two words: Magic Mike.

The old Hathaway may have drawn a bit of scorn for a response pulled straight from the celebrity interview playbook. She might have cited McConaughey's intangibles as an actor, his generosity, his charity work. But, we're living in a post-Jennifer Lawrence world, where convincing us that they're BFF material is a Hollywood actress' ticket to universal adoration. With that in mind — Hathaway, who's still recovering for the totally undeserved backlash that befell her last year — wants us all to know that she loves really abs.
So do we Anne, so do we.
