People magazine has confirmed that Diem Brown passed away at 10:22 this morning. The MTV reality star sadly lost her long battle with cancer. She was 32.
Brown appeared on MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge. She was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 23. After having one ovary, several lymph nodes, and part of her fallopian tube removed, and after undergoing chemotherapy, Brown went to Australia to film Fresh Meat for MTV.
Unfortunately, Brown's cancer returned in 2012 and still she remained optimistic about beating it once again. She also founded MedGift, a gift registry for patients. Brown chronicled her experiences in a candid blog on People.com. "Hope is one of the strongest emotions and hope can overcome fear and despair...if hope is given enough fuel," she wrote in her final post.

Brown was diagnosed with cancer for a third time this past August. Again, she was determined to fight it. "I promise to keep trucking along if for nothing else but others who need to know it is possible to beat this horrible disease once and for all!" she said.
This morning, Brown lost her fight. She remained hopeful until the very end. One of her final tweets revealed everything about her fortitude and strength. Brown will be missed, and her legacy will live on in MedGift and the awareness she helped bring to the importance of screenings and advanced detection. (People)
