Why Has Nobody Made A Movie About These People Yet?

With all due respect to Mockingjay, your big movie plans this month have more to do with cracking codes than cracking skulls. Imaginary dystopian worlds are all well and good, but who needs fiction when you've got Benedict Cumberbatch playing a real-deal hero Alan Turing in The Imitation Game? Will it beat Katniss at the box office? No chance. Will it give the biopic genre a major boost? Absolutely.
Oscar loves a good biopic, hence the huge adoration for Cumberbatch and his fellow Brit babe, Eddie Redmayne, who plays Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. This may be the Year of the Geek, but Turing and Hawking aren't the only clever chaps who deserve to have their story told on the big screen. Of course, some of the most fascinating historical figures aren't chaps at all.
To save Hollywood the trouble of, gosh, having to pick up an encyclopedia or something, we've rounded up 30 real-life figures who are truly biopic-worthy. The drama contained within their stories seems almost too juicy to be true — but, it's not.
