Johnny Depp’s Drunken Speech May Have Made Him Single

There's a time and place for drunken speeches, and that time and place is at any wedding and during certain segments of award shows. It looks like Johnny Depp put this ironclad theory to the test at the Hollywood Awards on November 14, where he delivered what appears to be an inebriated speech. Now rumors are spreading that fiancée Amber Heard, embarrassed by his behavior, may have split from the actor.

Depp was presenting the Hollywood Documentary Award for Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon. Except he began his speech by channeling that signature Jack Sparrow stumble. "That's the weirdest microphone I've ever seen in my life," he said as he got onstage.

According to the Daily News, a source told Star for its December issue "Amber couldn't believe he made such a fool out of himself. This reflects really badly on her, and she's not happy about it."

Depp hasn't admitted to being drunk at the awards ceremony, nor has Heard made any statement to suggest the two are splitting. So, at this point it's all just speculation. Star's source is adamant, however: "At this point he's driving everyone away — including Amber."
