J.K. Rowling decided to play Santa this year, giving us Muggles the early gift of 12 new Harry Potter stories to unwrap on her official website, Pottermore.
Rowling announced the new stories in a newsletter to Pottermore members, explaining that each new installment would be posted at 8 a.m. EST every day beginning December 12. The email promises “wonderful writing by J.K. Rowling...shiny gold Galleons and even a new potion or two.”
Very little is known in the Muggle world about the contents of the 12 new stories. However, one is rumored to be centered on Draco Malfoy, Harry's creepy blond nemesis from Slytherin house, who was brought up believing only "pure blood" witches and wizards should be allowed into Hogwarts.

We don't know if the stories will be set in current (Potter-world) time, or if we'll be taken back to Hogwarts for a game of Quidditch. Or, maybe Harry and Ron will be down at Hogsmeade getting turnt on Butterbeer? All we do know is that new Harry Potter stories are coming and all we need is a good Wi-Fi connection to read them.
And, of course, there's a hashtag — #pottermorechristmas — because even Harry Potter gets a hashtag now.
Bloody well then.
