The hype surrounding The Reformation can only be described as cultish. Whether it's the label's flowy fabrics, do-good mission, or retro silhouettes that hook you in, it's difficult to resist — especially if you're an Instagram It Girl. But, no matter your follower count, the L.A.-based brand's appeal is universal. Twice this year, it caused its loyal fan base to freak out: First, it announced a bridal collection. Then, a line of work wear. Now, it's committing to the '70s aesthetic to close out 2014 with a bang.
The Reformation is throwing it back a couple of decades for a disco-inspired New Year's collection ideal for all-night gallivanting — shimmery fabrics and plunging necklines abound. And, of course, we wouldn't be talking about The Reformation if there weren't dreamy maxi-dresses involved. In addition to ankle-skimming hems, there are plenty of shorter frocks for the serial party-hopper, plus sparkly tops that'll dress up your favorite jeans for a more practical going-out getup. Consider this an early commitment to your New Year's resolutions: To care for the environment by endorsing sustainably-produced goods. And, you know, to dress better.
