“Dr. Dreidels” Just Took Hanukkah To The Next Level

From surprising sandwich mash-ups to unlikely friendships, we never tire of unexpected combinations. So, when we heard about the Dr. Dreidel — a Hanukkah dreidel that bears the likeness of Dr. Dre — well, we were sold.
San Francisco artist Hannah Rothstein is ruling the holidays yet again (you might remember her creative take on Thanksgiving Day dishes) with her laser-etched Hanukkah toys, which explore the intersection between Judaism and hip-hop. "Sometimes, the best concepts are the ones with no complex reasoning behind them," Rothstein says on her site.
And, honestly, we don't need a rationale to know we love this.
The wooden toys come delightfully packaged, and feature four different etchings of Dr. Dre smack-dab on the center. Click ahead to see the designs and Rothstein's explanations of each one's meaning — and experience the festival of lights, set to a proper beat.
